Had I not lost weight, I would have cost the NHS much more than my reward over the long term, so I don't feel bad about the prize. I used the money to buy a beautiful evening dress. Some people didn't recognise me and their mouths dropped open. My motivation was always improved health rather than improved funds. I'm confident I will be able to keep up the good work.

I've always been a goal-orientated person and knowing I was accountable for my progress really helped. The scheme really helped my motivation. For the first time in years I own a pair of jeans. I'm off to Portugal - knowing that I have been able to pay for my ticket by shedding 4st (56lb, 25.5kg) feels great.

It’s a little bonus that kept me determined to finish. It has been a lifestyle shift. We try and snack on healthy things rather than biscuits or crisps, but it’s not like those things are forbidden. It’s been a real incentive to think that I was making money out of this – I'm feeling more energised and motivated, and treated myself to a treadmill in the sales.

I have now completed my Weight Wins programme. My final 82 lbs loss is the equivalent of 1½ sacks of potatoes. How did I carry that quantity around all day every day? I would like to help and support other people in the way Weight Wins has helped me.

I feel like I've changed my life for the better and I know I owe a great deal of this to Weight Wins and your incentives.
